"Ravel’s Piano Concerto for Left Hand with Vincent Larderet excels in the Vancouver Symphony concert"
James Bash
"A standing ovation brought Larderet back to center stage, and he responded with terrific encore, Scriabin’s Prelude and Nocturne for the Left Hand. The first part had a delicate, yet melancholic sentiment, and the second was more rhapsodic with a lovely melody that made me think of Rachmaninoff. It was all exquisitely played by Larderet, and that generated another standing ovation from the audience." -

"The set opens with Ravel's five movement Miroirs (1904-05) a breakthrough world of great sound color impressions and clangorous tonal brilliance. Larderet brings his own personally inventive aesthetics to each movement." -

RAVEL Complete Works for Solo Piano Vol.1
++++ rating
"Throughout this release, Larderet demonstrates impeccable pianistic technique combined with an unusual level of sensitivity to Ravel’s tonal colors and his free and variable treatment of rhythm and harmony. If the remaining recordings in this planned cycle are performed as tastefully and with as much style and understanding as this one, Larderet will have established himself as an absolutely top-of-the-line interpreter of Ravel’s works for solo piano.” -

RAVEL Complete Works for Solo Piano Vol.1

"How to characterize Vincent Larderet’s artistic endeavors? Answer: 'Unabashed patience'. Each of the passages is self-contained, neatly packaged, tightly encapsulated with genuine authenticity...the richness is deep and viscous." -
