Biography

Vincent Larderet's eclectic repertoire stretches from Scarlatti to Boulez, who played an important role in romantic music, French music and during the 20th century. He also ardently favors lesser-known composers such as Scriabin, De Falla, Schmitt or Szymanowski, who he payed homage to in a article in the magazine PIANO (n°20) during the 70th anniversary of the composer's death. In 2007 he performed a series of recitals dedicated to Beethoven and especially distinguished himself with the "Hammerklavier" Opus 106 and Opus 111. He also participated in the complete recording of Beethoven's Sonatas, notably alongside Stephen Kovacevich for the prestige DVD set released by Piano Passion.

After completing a well-rounded curriculum at the Conservatory in his hometown of Saint-Etienne and graduating summa cum laude receiving the Gold Medal, he worked in Paris with the great Uruguayan pianist Carlos Cebro, who passed on to him the stylistic and musical heritage of Vlado Perlemuter. He studied Ravel's works on Perlemuter's scores annotated after his collaboration with the composer. Vincent completed his training with Bernard Ringeissen at the National Conservatory of Music in Rueil Malmaison, where he won the Virtuosity Prize. He then perfected his art at Lübeck's Musikhochschule in Germany with the famous pianist Bruno-Leonardo Gelber. He has also received master classes or teachings from Pascal Devoyon, Ewa Osinska, Roger Muraro and Sergio Perticaroli. When it comes to shape his interpretations, he is committed to a musicological approach: he studies and analyzes musics history.
